Course Overview

Severe bleeding can become life-threatening within minutes. The Stop the Bleed® Training Course is designed to teach individuals how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action before emergency responders arrive.

Taught by experienced first responders and emergency medical professionals, this hands-on course provides practical life-saving skills that empower participants to respond confidently during traumatic emergencies. Students will learn proven bleeding control techniques used by emergency responders, military personnel, and healthcare professionals.

Participants leave with the knowledge and confidence to intervene during emergencies and potentially save a life.

What's Included

Each training session includes interactive instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practice covering:

1. Bleeding Emergency Recognition

• Identifying life-threatening bleeding

• Understanding the body's response to blood loss

• Scene safety and emergency activation

• Prioritizing care during traumatic incidents

• Rapid assessment techniques

2. Bleeding Control Techniques

• Direct pressure application

• Proper wound packing techniques

• Tourniquet application and use

• Improvised bleeding control methods

• Hands-on skill stations and scenario practice

3. Emergency Response Preparedness

Duration: Approximately 1–2 hours (depending on class size)
